Irwin-Pederson M1 carbine

Value would be in the $100 to $125 range (if registered) if in original condition, no rust or pitting. Problem is, even though I-P is rare, getting the rest of the parts to make a retro-build I-P carbine, and the receiver would have to have its original parkerizing on it. So, the value is only based on the fact it is an M1 carbine receiver only, manufacturer doesn't matter
 
the reciever is nothing special by itself I suspect somebody stripped down and sold the parts to us collectors for several K$

I thought that they may have some quality issue with them that may make them unsafe to shoot?
 
well yes and no IP did have some QC problems and thier contract WAS pulled BUT SG took it over and REUSED IP parts....so the quality could not have been that bad.....

I have 3 IP carbines (all orig) and ive shot them all with no problems
