Is $160 something for a pistol grips too much?

Hi, I want to buy a hogue oversized fancy wood grips for my super blackhawk (square trigger guard), which would cost about $160 online, even close to $200 after import tax.

Is this upgrade worth it in terms of owner's pride and improved accuracy and handling:confused:? Add a little bit more, I could get myself a basic 10/22:D.

Should I order it? or NOT:runaway:?
 
Thanks for the inputs. I have problem to justify it as well. But the original super blackhwak grips is really not comfortable with the awkward square trigger guard.
 
There is a nice rubber finger grooved grip made by Hogue for the Super Blackhawk, and it is under $30.00 in stock in Canada, perhaps that would be better, to make the grip shape more comfortable.

I'd stay away from Hogue revolver wood grips. My brother bought a set for his Colt SAA and they weren't even remotely the right size.
 
Rubber is good in functionality, but I want my gun only consists of steel and wood.

OK. It seems I do need to keep looking. Actually I want a set of grips similar to the one in the movie "3:10 to Yuma".
 
In a US catalogue that i study, most aftermarket SA grips, including some pretty fancy grips all run around $60 US.....I don't think that i would spend more.
 
I just bought a set of Hogue rubber grips for my Super BlackHawk, $16 US, at Wholesale sports in Fargo, ND. Takes care of the square trigger guard completely, and I can actually comfortably fit all my fingers on the grip. Yeah, it's rubber not wood, but what's more important, looks or shootability? Or you could get both for $200, it's up to you.
 
If I remember,....paid about $100. US. for this pair on the left....

Got these from www.clccustomgrips.com in California. Cary Chapman makes them custom & makes the pretiest grips you will ever see!

If the grips fit my hand well and I like the way they look I'd pay the money and buy them. But that's me.... If you order from Hogue's on-line store they'll charge you $25.00 US for shipping and handling. Mind you they'll arrive nicely packed in a cardboard box and not bubble wrap. I was kind of stunned at the expense when mine arrived especially when some of the custom makers out there charge less than half that for shipping and handling.
 
I've paid $100 US for a pair of Hawian Koa grips for a 1911. Those are very nice and well worth the money.

I've also paid $200 for a pair of hand carved 1911 grips, so I don't think that the $150 range is obscene by any means.
 
"...fancy wood grips..." What wood? Some of the wood Hogue uses are somewhat rare these days. Rosewood, for example. Hence the big price.
