I just got a .17 HMR on here and didnt think too hard about ammunition. Tenda and Cabelas have nothing.

Is it getting hard to find? If so does anyone know where has stock so i can load up
Thanks

If you're in the Vancouver area, Italian Sporting Goods shows some in stock. They'll probably ship it as well.

OP - I think as you might find with most rifles - you are going to spend more on the ammo, than you did on the rifle, before you wear it out ... And if you can not find ammo for it, then watch-out for the rust getting it first. By the time that you see rust on the outside, is pretty good chance that the bore and inside parts are worse.

I bought some a couple weeks ago at my LGS. Wasn't expecting to see the 20gr hornady's on the shelf. Buy them when you find them even if you don't presently need them.

OP-based on what I've seen, it's been years since you could just walk into your local gun shop and just trust that you'll see what you want sitting there. Ammo supply sort of depends on you watching all the time, being prepared to buy it when you see it vs. buying just when you need it. Important distinction.

Since inflation took hold, I'm more inclined to just buy when I see it, deal or not. Understanding (of course) what the stuff is worth-won't pay double to greedy sellers. I might overpay (like I've done recently) for SK ammunition locally because I won't pay shipping on 1 box of ammo. If the stuff works=look for a retailer who charges a fair price and order it in qty.

I have lots from the good old days, but I just bought another 4000 rounds off the EE. It's out there, just have to keep checking.
