Is .22LR adequate caliber for bunny?

Okay, granted it's a big bunny, but there are DEFINATELY camera tricks involved in making the second picture look waaaaay bigger than it is. Fisheye lens, perspective, whatever...

Anyone who can't see that is blind. Look at the dude's hand!
 
looking at those pics, it's a camera lens trick... look at the blurring of the background.

I'd opt for a centerfire, myself. .22-250, well placed shot to the head if it was for the stew pot, and through the ribs to dispatch it if it were a pest, just to see if that monster would explode gopher-style :p
 
It's not hard to achieve at all. Use a wide angle lens, take the picture from very close to the subject, and what you see above is what you get.

Done it a few times myself...............although not with bunnies. ;)
