The 280 Remington is a wonderful cartridge, however; as of late it's big brother, the 280 AI has caught up to it a little bit in popularity during the past three years. This wildcat cartridge had/has been the trendy cartridge with gun writers and gun makers where it's performace almost equals the 7mm remington magnum. The 7mm or 284 has always had a nice ring to it.............I'm most content now with my 280 AI.
