What ?.. I can't hear what your typing. Lol. Yup always use ear protection. I love brakes, even have one on my Sako 270 wsm. They make things a bit louder but with ear protection it makes things much more enjoyable to shoot, especially if your doing some target practice to prepare for hunting season and putting a 100 rounds through in a day.
However as for your comment regarding a 30 06 and 270 wsm "is all you need" ....... Somehow I blew past NEED a long time ago and went to WANT!. I'm not certain how it happened. my goal was to have one all purpose centre-fire, a rimfire and a target rifle ... but I remember someone laughed at me and said good luck .. .... However I have learned one lesson from a fellow member - under no conditions should you consider buying a bigger gun safe ....because your collection will expand to fill whatever size you get! But I agree I don't NEED anything more than either a 270 wsm or 3006
