Is 7 shot weaker?

They are not that much fun in IDPA or IPSC either. Both match rules state that there is no limit to the number of shots that can be reloaded but the shooter can only discharge 6 before reloading if a procedural penalty is to be avoided. So all in all the 7 and 8 shot guns are great when rules are not an issue. But if the plan is to shoot in any competitions then it's best to stick to proper 6 shooters.

you can't shoot em IPSC in revolver, but you can in limited can you not? The groups shooting informal IDPA in SW ontario (ie not sanctioned matches) let you run in SSP if you want, but we're not shooting for money or points, just fun. So yeah, your right again :)
