Is 7mm mag sufficent enough for big game.

Todd buddy. Are you able to carry on a conversation about anything but hunting? Do you live alone, or with your parents? Are you poor? Do you have any record for hunting infractions? What is your level of education? What do you do for a living? Do you own the shop in the village you live in? How can you possibly make a living doing that? You have piqued my interest. You may be an interesting specimen. You are no doubt a busy man. If you ever get some time please display some posts that have contributed to the board. I wanna learn from the gun guru himself who gave up women, money, and education to be a "professional hunter in a loose interpretation. "

150gr bullets at 2700 fps have repeatedly killed every kind of land animal on the PLANET for over 100 years.

Trappers and other hunters have been killing everything in North America with short barrelled 30-30's, firing the cheapest 150gr bullets they could find, for about a hundred years.

Heck, the 6.5x55 was once considered a perfectly good elephant gun, with tons (literally) of kills to it's credit.

Yes, 7mm mag is a perfectly good big game carridge.

7mm magnum is an excellent round for large game. I will always prefer .338 Lapua magnum for this job, but 7mm is more common to purchase and less expensive by alot. Hopefully you will place your shot well and take your time, however I think 7mm mag could easily make the kill on the body.
 
So, going out on a limb here, is there any bad blood and history between the internet combatants?

Speaking of education level, what's yours? And what about your job? It seems that you keep asking the questions, and never answer any of ours.

FWIW I have two university degrees (but they have zilch to do with ballistics :D).
 
I believe that in real life Mac "ask another stupid question" killan is a nice guy. He seems like he just wants to reach out and hug everyone on the internet. But if I could send a solid punch through a computer screen......
Anyway.

I like the dumb question threads. I'm going to start one titled, "Does a fat baby poo?" The only gun that will take down big game like Moose,Elk,Large women is the .50 BMG and a bucket of chicken
 
I just wana know how the original poster got any with asking if the 7 Mag. was O.K. for head shots. Even though I think its sketchy and might not stick in, he should have been flamed to death. As to the rest of the thread, I think we may have to declare an ASSCLOWN. Not too familiar with the term but it seems to apply.
