Is a benelli m4 with 14 inch barrel restricted?

Yes its very restricted just like the TP-9-US subgun is and its very fun to shoot matches with it.

I like the 14" cuz at most Practical runs its nice and compact to shoot thru windows and turn corners.

Compare it to a 18" and a 12.5" barrel below and u will see what i mean.

How is the hatsan shotty treating you?

For the money - it has been trouble free + 2800 rounds.

The significant thing is the gun does not hicup(FTF) with light cheep loads where as the Benelli M4 sometimes does if not cleaned and oiled. (the Hatsan was finally cleaned @ 2000rounds :redface:)

What I didnt like about the Hatsan was the lack of aftermarket parts for it - but as u can see by the pic, I managed around the adj. stock and ugly bottle cap tube on the front by replacing it with an empty extension..

Sorry for the hijack.

Why is the m4 14" restricted but the supernova tactical 14" is non-restricted?

According to the Criminal Code, a restricted firearm is:

A handgun that is not a prohibited firearm;
A semi-automatic, centre-fire firearm with a barrel length less than 470 mm that is not a prohibited firearm;
A firearm that can fire after being reduced, by folding, telescoping or otherwise, to an overall length of less than 660 mm; and
Any firearm prescribed under the Criminal Code regulations to be restricted (including some long guns).

M4 with a 14 inch barrel is restricted because its semi auto
