Is anyone importing Russian TT-33s at present?

I'm looking to enter the market for a TT-33, I notice a lot of sellers are out of the Russian guns.

Does anyone know if the window is closing or if it's just a waiting game.

I'm looking for a wartime dated example, don't really care if it's refurbed. What I want to avoid is the ugly "7.62x25" import marking if I am able.

The thing is that a lot of people are selling them as/to collectors on the market and there are still some for sale from stores at sub $400 prices so I don't really want to buy on the secondhand market while they are still cheaper at the source.

Ugly markings you mentioned are not import, but export. Latest imports were from Russia (with ugly export and sporting civilian markings ), good luck finding older Ukrainian imports at retailers (no modern markings on these). Maybe some small shops still have them.

Aye, I see some on the secondary market for $400 and I keep thinking 'why would I pay $400 when they re being imported and sold below $400?"
Now I see that a lot of these are the ones without export markings and I am starting to warm up to the thought.

I guess you are referring to the TT-30. This is not the same as the TT-33. On the other hand the Romanian one is just $269.95.

I know eh, I think I paid $168 for a post war Russian before they started with the export marks. Fun guns, I love the x25 round.
