Is anyone loading Zero 230gr JHPs? (.45 ACP)

Hi Everyone. I'm going to work up a new 45 acp load using Zero 230gr JHPs. I appreciate any experience you have with this projectile, particularly regarding the seating depth/OAL. Based in internet search results, an OAL of 1.200" - 1.220" seems to in spec. Please let me know what OAL you are using.

Use what ever works for your gun(s) then work up a load. remove your barrel make sure the OAL passes the plunk test. Drop in a round and it should drop out from gravity.
 
The shape on the zeros is a little different, make sure they seat in the chamber properly. Try a few at the range before you load a bunch, I had to go back and seat a couple of hundred just a few more thousandths when I first started out
 
thanks for the advice everyone. Spawn-Inc the plunk test was a great idea:

I pulled the barrel from my 45, and dropped in a few different factory cartridges to verify how deep they sat, and how easily they dropped out.
I then loaded a dummy round extra long, and decreased the COL bit by bit, doing a plunk test in the barrel every time.

Turns out 1.230" is the magic COL for this gun. I tried loading another shorter at 1.220, and it just looked wrong/too short. 1.200 is out of the question.
Now to run a batch of 20 to test at the range.

glad it worked out, that's exactly how to work out any pistol round for a specific gun. if you have multiply 45's and want bulk ammo for them all, do the plunk test and go with the shortest OAL so it should work for all guns.
