is anyone using ported chokes 4 sporting

after reading the company sales pitch, they all suggest that the porting in the chokes slows down the wad and hence get a tighter pattern.....is it a huge difference in the pattern....

has anyone got practical experience of these ported chokes, pls share.....

I have never heard of that but that's not saying much. The experienced trap shooters at my club do not like ported chokes and prefer non-ported. I was convinced and hence bought extended Briley's for my gun. They are great.

Maybe I'm just too new at this, but if you wanted a tighter pattern, why not just use a tighter choke?

Maybe they (supposedly) give a more uniform pattern?

I use ported chokes Rhino and Teague in my Select I cant say that I have noticed tighter patterns but they are more uniform, The other thing is they do reduce muzzle jump a bit I think. However they are a ##### to clean as you get alot of build up of plastic around them after a few rounds.

I've got a set or Rhinos. I hate to shoot them mainly because they are a PITA to clean.
