Is Beretta M9A3/92FS sights ready or need to be zeroed first?

Next time you get a dud, if you have a dud, mix it with a handful of ammo and load the mag.

NO! The dud might just be a high primer, next strike or the one after and the gun goes bang. Either load a round with no primer, no powder and use it as a dummy round or buy the plastic cartridges for dry fire practice.

I completely agree with the above posts.

The dud going off pointing downrange and no one is the wiser. However, if the OP decides to dry fire the dud at home, thinking it’s inert, could be in for a very bad surprise.

The bright plastic snapcaps are the best choice. Have someone load the gun or close your eyes or juggle the mags after they are loaded so you won’t know where the dud(s) are.
