So, I loaded up some 230gr 45's yesterday with Bullseye. I normally use Power Pistol, but I find those a little too flashy and wanted to try something else. I started at the bottom of the scale with 4.0gr and did another 50 rounds at 5.0gr. The 4.0's were too light and caused cycling issues, but the 5.0 performed really well. I noticed that the cases on both of them were black though, and I've never seen my gun so dirty after 100 rounds.
Is this common with Bullseye? I used the same taper crimp that I have always used with the Power Pistol. Is there something else I may be doing wrong?
Edit: I'm seating the bullets at 1.275" and using CCI Large Pistol Primers
