IS CLP any good?

My neighbour is moving and cleaning out his tool shelf ended up giving me a can of Wipe Out and a small bottle of CLP.

I looked up CLP on line and there was one essay on how it tried to be an "all in one cleaner-lubricant-protector" (CLP) but didn't do any very well. .

Is it any good?

Or does it have an overblown reputation?

I guess I could try it out on some of his firearms I'm babysitting until he finds a new place.

It is a great lubricant, in my opinion.

As long as doesn't say Froglube on the bottle, which strangely enough makes it irresistible to rats.

CLP plus is non toxic. But, yes you don't want to eat it or anything

CLP was used in large quantities by the U.S. Military and they run some pretty good tests on things they buy.

It works for me.

Jack of all trades; master of none. It's a good all purpose CLP, obviously, but there are better specific products out there. For example, the Wipe-Out you also got, one of the best bore cleaners available.

All I use on my guns. Breakfree CLP. If its good enough for the military for decades, its good enough for my guns.

lol The lead seeping into your brain from wearing the boonie hat after using it to pick up 20K spent casings on Echo range probably didn't help.
