Is full metal jacket ammunition allowed in Quebec for hunting predators or possession

As the title specifies, is full metal jacket ammunition allowed for the use of hunting predators like coyotes? Are you allowed to possess them here in Quebec?

FMJ ammo is legal to possess and use for target shooting and plinking but not for hunting. You need either JSP or JHP for hunting, even yotes.

It's ok to hunt with FMJ in Ontario?

I don't know of anywhere in Canada it is legal to hunt with FMJ and even if it was, why would you want to?

Apparently yes. I can't find any mention prohibiting it in the regs. You can also use a 22-250 for moose. Legal yes but ethical?

Its 100% legal to hunt with FMJs in Ontario. They hunting regulations make no mention of bullet construction which must be used. I have also spoken to a CO about this very fact, and he said it was legal.

Legal, yes. Smart, probably not. They're good if you want to hunt predators and minimize pelt damage using a large calibre rifle, and I carry a couple to finish animals off without making a mess, but apart from those two examples they're not very practical.

Actually they were designed to minimize wound damage so that the doc had a hope in hell of saving the poor bastard. Prior to the Hauge convention on easily expanding ammo it was a free for all and as such horrific wounds and amputation quite common.
