Hey everyone.
I am amoung one of the many people who is eagerly awaiting to receive their Wk180-c.
While I wait I have started to peice together all of the aftermarket parts and upgrades which I will install once I get the gun.
This has brought me to arguably the most important additon. An optic.

I am wanting a red dot of sorts and really like the tube style one (for this application). I have never purchased a red dot before so I am new tot hat market. Every time i look around at options I find myself looking at Holosun red dots. They seem to offer alot for the money and seem to be good quality.
Specificaly I am looking at the HS406C/HS406A.
Does anyone have experience with Holosun? I am a little apprehanseive since they are "made in China".

Thanks guys.

I have owned at least a half dozen Holosun red dot sights and they are awesome. I prefer the models with a variety or reticles (dot, circle or circle dot as opposed to just a dot) and with solar back up. Great quality for the money.

Yeah they seem to offer a lot of features for the price. And they look real good too. Ive just been hesitant on their build quality and how long they will last.

I have vortex red dots and love them as well as a Holoson. The holoson is arguably close to as good if not better than an actual t1 the vortex spark or other (t1) style reddots do not come close to the reliably of the holoson.... my imo when it comes to sights I preach brand reliable names, I.e. eotech, and Trijicon... I also preach the holoson

it's hard not to pick a vortex for just a little more money and thier easy to use warranty. Although Holosun seems easy to deal with via warranty too.

But I'm not scared of Holosun, they have some great features and the average shooter will be well served by the Holosun products, especially the solar assist models.

Thanks for the feedback. Good food for thought. I have never looked much at what Vortex had to offer as far as red dots go. I have heard so many times how great their warranty is and that seems like a big selling feature.
Ill see what i end up doing, more reaserch and online review i guess, haha.

Do you have a vortex red dot? I might look at what they have to offer.

Yes. I have a SPARC, SPARC II, and Venom. They're not quite as nice as my Shield CQS, Aimpoint Pro or RMRs, but they're WAY less money. Only warranty issue I ever had was with my first SPARC... I lost some mounting screws and contacted Vortex to order more. They sent a full set FREE!

Have the 403 (AIMPOINT style) and 510 (eotech style).

They are very high quality for price. Thousands of rounds, no issues.

If you do a lot of quick side to side shooting I'd opt for the larger eotech versions as you have a larger field of view.

If you are doing 25 yard cqb shooting I'd look at the pistol version 507c, it has a smaller ring which can be nice to quick shooting.

If you're using for fun or non pro competition it's great.

They also have a higher grade line up with Titainium housings for a bit more. And Thier newest model has gold reticles for colour blind folks.

I had a Sparc 2 and my two holosuns side by side. It basically came down to me preferring the holosuns because it's brightness adjustment buttons are out of your field of view where the Sparc has them facing you. I'm sure both optics will serve you well.

Right now I'm using the Primary Arms/ Holosun red dot with the ACSS bullet drop reticle with a magnifier and routinely score hits on the 5 and 600 meter plates at my range. Really fun to do with a red dot.
