Is is a firearms contravention to use LAR Mags in a non-restricted rifle?

It not a stupid question... if you were new to firearms. I'd think a member on this board since 2004 with over 1700 posts would at least know the most basic firearms laws.

Don't feel bad. I got told it was illegal to use 10 round pistol mags in a non restricted gun away from the range the other day. At a local gun store by an employee and one of the local rpal instructors. Didn't believe them but just let it go.

It's not at all. It's clearly written in the laws. You can use any magazine in any gun. It's really that simple.

A well defined sticky in Bold Capitals would make this easier to query.
Some times a search involves far too much time investment.

You need to bring the temp down on the oil, if it's boiling the kittens get too crispy.

It says at the bottom "the further use of these magazines in any other firearm is not regulated." I printed a copy and keep it with my firearms stuff just encase anyone has any questions.

Furthermore, I prefer my kittens crispy...
