I have a Remington Model 700 30-06 rile I am trying to confirm. It has a grey kevlar stock and seems very light for it's size.
24" Barrel, 441/2" overall. Barrel manufactured in May, 1991 (KL).
Serial Number is C66171XX
Is there anything else I could look for to confirm this rifle is in fact from the custom shop? How could I Identify the model?

Thanks for you help in advance.

Regards.

It's probably an ADL/FS

Blind mag with Brown Precision fibreglass stock made in the late 80's/early 90's.

Custom Shop rifles have different barrel stamping than regular production rifles. They are stamped more like a gunsmith would stamp a rebarrel.

Does it look like this one?

Assuming mine too is the KS Mountain Rifle, what are they worth?

Thank you for taking time to answer the questions and post pictures.

Regards.

Something like that would be worth a fair bit more than a run-of-the-mill 700. Custom Shop guns can be pretty spendy. I'd figure double the price of a regular Mountain Rifle, plus or minus based on condition. Not really an expert on Custom Shop valuations. All accounts are it's an amazing shooter.
