Here is what I started with.

It is a used Armalite M15A4. It looked like a great place to start. I could shoot it as it was, and upgrade as I went. Well, there was no time wasted adding to and upgrading.

Here is what I have done so far:
Troy Industries ambi mag release, ambi safety selector, and trigger guard.
Magpul ACS stock, AFG1, rear MBUS.
Phase 5 ambi bolt release.
Noveske Raptor ambi charge handle.
Bushnell AR Optic - 1-4 X 24 Throw Down w/ PCL.
Burris QD P.E.P.R. Mount.

Here it is now.

This thing is so much fun at the range! Hitting the steel at 100 metres does it for me...

Next up:
Troy Alpha Rail - 15" & low profile gas block.
Noveske TRX QD sling mount.
Magpul front MBUS & ASAP QD.
Ergo Grip (aggressive texture).

An excellent start Danager!!!

You have taken and held the middle ground with that fine patrol rifle; now you have to mop up the high and low ground too! If I had lots of money like you, I would get a precision upper with a match barrel for gopher and varmint work out on the farm or the matches at the rod and gun club; and a shortie carbine for CQB work and run n gun stuff.

Cripes... If our leaders and law enforcement people were rational adults and not emasculated poltroons and menopausal old women - an upper in 458 SOCOM would be a nice business like close range deer rifle too!

Lots of money - HAHA! Three kids and an ex-wife get most of the money. I did get a bonus this year, so it has been fun to work on this rifle.

Sooooo... I am not sure about the "work" out at the farm, with a restricted AR. I do plan to get into some service rifle, and maybe even three gun stuff.

My boys are both southpaws, so the ambidextrous controls are for them.

Wondering about the AFG.... How was it attached to the original handguard?
Have you had it to the range with the new handguard and AFG position? How does it fit / feel?
