Is it Illegal to Harass a Hunter or Hunters??

I get into BIG TROUBLE if I go to a hunting store or even crappy tire without my wife by my side! She makes damn sure I get what I want to start the new season (which ever season it maybe). The time I bought my 17hmr, I called her up to say I was going to the store to get it. She told me if I went to russells without her to pick it out, NOT TO COME HOME! Shes a tough lady to please, but I seem to manage!!!

mommabear encourages me to go hunting all the time.she claims thats the only time things get done around here

Maybe try "doing her thing" before you go and she wouldn't be so anxious to be rid of you....:D

I say,, Stand tall,,Stand up to the Mrs. and tell her,, this is how it is, and this is how it's going to be..I'll be back on Monday.. HeHe..:) is all she needs to know..

The answers are right at your fingertips.;)

Mine was pissed at me because my big game hunting with buddy inteferred with our pheasant hunting this year (we only got out bird hunting once), She comes along on the phesant hunts because keeping quiet isn't really necessary and she loves to watch our golden Retriever work. she dosen't mind packing out the birds Plus it's at a nice time to the year and we take the motorhome and stay with new friends. I know the dog also agrees with her so I'm kind of out voted .

Hey Guys...

It seems to me that there is a Hunter harassment clause in the Fish and Game act that makes it illegal for a non hunting person to harass a hunter, before or during a hunt...!

If so, I would like to have my wife and sister in law Charged under this clause in the F&G act.

Every time, I'm getting ready for a hunting season no matter what it is,, I get the cold shoulder, harassing, and degrading conversations with my wife and sister in law. 20 questions on why I need new camo, boots or accessories.

"Why do you need this?, Why do you need that ? How much was that ?"

Constant harassment and me justifying why I need something or have to go on a hunt.

I try to explain that I don't have any other hobbys..I don't drink, go to bars too often, don't play ,watch or otherwise partake in any sports and I'm not a clothes Whore(unless it's got a Realtree or Mossy Oak label on it). You wouldn't catch me dead wearing Tommy Hilfiger gear, although I do have more camo than I do regular street clothes...

During hunting season ie. Turkey, Deer, Bear, Duck, Rabbit, and Pheasant , I just want to be left alone..
I don't want to have to explain things...

I'm now writing the open day of each season on the calender and explaining which days I'll be gone..
Being self employed,,at times I can bugger off at a moments notice and do a quick 1-2 day hunt almost without her finding out...

So lets have it boys!!

Do you get a hard time from the little Mrs. when you want or need to hunt ??

I say,, Stand tall,,Stand up to the Mrs. and tell her,, this is how it is, and this is how it's going to be..

19 years ago,,when we met,,she knew what I was like.. She's
had every oppertunity to get out,,now it's too late....

I'll be back on Monday.. HeHe..:) is all she needs to know..

Whats the first thing a women does when she gets home from the abused womens shelter?
The dishes if she knows whats good for her.

Take it easy... it is only a bad joke!

Seriously, If that is the kind of abuse you take from the Women in your life don't expect any sympathy here.
Man up and make a change... there are a lot more women than there are hunting seasons.

You still married to the grief-sisters Normark? How did it go for ya this season? I still think you should tank the pair of them... there is no trade deadline on a happy life!:runaway:

if you can charge her F***ING DO IT then devorce her and leave Her for broke find a crooked lawyer and hire him before as a family lawyer andthen go out and get a good lawyer for your self your paying her lawyers salery but you also have control over her layer as well and f**k her over i've delt with #####es like this it starts with little things and gets worse trust me i may be 19 but i know this for a fact #####y women are trouble

I started hunting last year with my father in law to take the place of his son who died in a work place accident 4 years ago. He was ready to stop hunting after 40 years because he had too many sad memories, so I got my licence and am now his new hunting partner.( I wasn't sure how I'd take to hunting, but I love it!)
My wife couldn't be more prouder and happy with me!

The trick is, to become extra clingy for the month leading up to hunting season...that way, when hunting season rolls around, she will be sick of you being around, and will encourage you to get the hell out of the house. Works everytime brother...lol

My wife is actually really cool about my hunting and fishing...of course I take the boy with me (he is 11, so no shooting til next year, I am super excited!!) so she is able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

First wife. 23yrs (started at 17). #### on EVERY time I went out hunting. Taking too much time away from the family. I basically shut down my hunting to one weekend a year. I had NO hobbies except a little reloading.

Wife #2. First year dating, told her not to bother coming up from Calgary for the entire month of November, since I would be hunting every weekend and 2 weeks as well. She didn't like that. Moved in in Apr. When August rolled around (load development, scouting, range time), she let me know that she had no intention of being alone for all of that time. She wanted to go with me. Not to shoot, but to be with me. She started shooting her first day at the range, .22 and then SKS. Fell in love with that. Said that she didn't want to hunt but would go along. Next year she went for her hunter safety course. I had to outfit the SKS for her! Third time out she shot a decent doe, bought her a .243. She goes with me every weekend. I absolutely love it. She shot her first buck this year, posted the pics on here. Pretty proud. I NEVER get grief from her if I want to buy something. Basically because I buy in two's!! She's got better gear than I have. My hobbies still remain centered around the shooting sports, but I ma much happier. I reload in the living room, clean the guns in the kitchen, leave knives, bullets, hunting gear all over the house, and only get grief when I haven't moved it. That is, haven't gone out hunting. Our schedules allow me to hunt every afternoon, while she can only hunt on Saturdays and holidays. However, the second week of Nov, we both have taken a week off and are going camping/hunting.

my g/f (of 7 years) has no problem with me hunting, and wants me to go out with her godfather on their moose hunt...

The best part is her baking class (her hobby) is on saturdays, which means hunting/fishing for me.

only bad thing is the "did you CATCH anything?" i dont know why it bothers me so much, but i usually say yes, but i just released it lol

Eric, buddy, I'm pretty sure after all the nagging and harassment, you can't wait to get out there and do what you love...just look at it this way; after all is said and done, when you do finally get to your hunt, your time to yourself, you'll just enjoy it that much more. It just sucks when you gotta' go home to get interogated again! But then again, there's always the garage, or the basement...see, it all works out!!! Cheers buddy...
