This particular setup will measure CBTO (Case Base To Ogive) and will help you when you are seating bullets.

The addition of these following pieces will help you measure your headspace. They use the same body as the comparator above. Also found at X-Reload here .

I favour these bump gauges from Sinclair. Your choice as all these pieces are mix and match. They've got the wrong picture, its showing as using the bullet comparator, but watch the vid there, it explains the bump gauge/comparator better.

.223 -> 749-011-473WS (23 degree shoulder)

not if your using brass from your rifle only and no once fired range pick ups, as for the neck indicator, either that one or the hornady case comparator set

All I have on hand is 7mm range brass. I do have a couple of bxs of factory rnds waiting to try...

Get a Lee collet neck die to use for brass that has been fired in that rifle. No screwing around buying case measuring tools, no lube needed when sizing, you won't have to trim brass after the initial trim for several firings. It saves time a pile of time, and removes user error and over sizing of brass in rifles with large headspace. Check higginson powder, the die alone is $27....
