Is H335 and ignorant powder to work with!?? Damn running that thing through my hornady dispenser and it just bounces out the damn pan! Accurate charges if you set it right but it's everywhere!

I felt like if I sneeze in the same room as a loaded 223 with no bullet seated it would all jump out!

I like my extruded powders thats for sure..

All done.
 
That dosn't make sense.Never had a problem but have to use a different powder measure because the other one won't work with it. Some powders with me cling to everything all the time.
 
When I put my pan under the powder measure I touch the bottom of the measure with the pan then cycle the measure handle, no problem. I know what you mean though, the first load I dropped into the pan, I was holding it about 2" below the measure and powder everywhere. Cheers Roscoe

Yeah, drop the powder from a great height and you're doing some sweeping, for sure.

That's funny, it leaks through the side of my Lee powder measure. I don't have another measure to try at this time though. I use my powder funnel to catch all the H335 and funnel it into the cases as I throw charges. Doing it this way, as long as I catch all the grains, it is a very accurate powder to measure.

That's why I threw my Lee Measure away. Couldn't get it to throw two charges consecutively. Mostly because it leaked...
 
No problems with my RCBS measure ... also touch the bottom of the pan. But then again, I've been using ball powders for a long time.

The longer extruded grain powders like H4831 are sometimes a little "choppy" to measure and sometimes a little hard to get through the funnel on smaller caliber cartridges.

Take your time ... the hurrier you go - the behinder you get ! ;)
 
Guess I'll have to get used to it, pretty happy with my results today....

27.4 Grains of H335 under the 52 Grain Sierra MK 100 Yards.

Windy, but no vertical, will load a batch of these and try again.

Yeah do this....... Ha yeah i was the same when i would hold the pan too low. powder everywhere!!
 
H335 meters very nicely in my RCBS measure, better than extruded powders. At first it seemed to be bouncing out of the pan and making a mess. But I weigh every charge to the nearest .1gr so I ended up getting an old straight-walled precription pill bottle. I throw the charge into that and then into the pan. Now I don't have any mess. Worth noting, some plastic containers build a static charge, so I always give it a quick rub with a dryer sheet.
