Is it me or GSG STG 44 Schmeisser .22 LR mags are badly designed?

I got a GSG STG 44 Schmeisser in .22 LR. I got 7 mags with the gun. Of these 6 mags, 3 can only hold 23 rounds instead of 25. Those mags are totally stuck at 23 (and they have 23 rounds not more)... I managed to unstuck a 4th mag to finally hold 25 rounds by pushing a bit harder with a cloth (to save my thumb a bit). This is 4 of 7 mags that don't work well. Is it normal? Did you got issues with your mags?

I havent had a problem with mine however i wish i could get a drum mag for it. It would be alot easier to shoot off bench etc when the little ones want to shoot it.

I guess I got bad ones... I've contacted GSG and the dealer (advertiser here) and I'll keep you updated.

All 4 mags I recieved have the same stickyness around the 23rd-24th round, I now only put in 20rds in per mag. I hope they will make metal mags, but one can wish!

I saw a guy bring one of these back to one of my local stores and had the exact same issue sticking at 23. The guys at the store replaced it with one that worked and then spent a while farting around with the one that came back to see what was wrong with it. It looked like a 4-5 hand operation getting it apart without parts flying everywhere. This would appear to be a common snag with some of the mags the store you got it from should replace it free of charge if not I'd contact the manufacturer. Best of luck.

In the end I returned them and they were replaced with ones that don't have this problem. I ordered 6 mags from 2 different places and 4 of them had this kind of problem. Either it's common or I'm really unlucky.
