Is It My Imagination Or...

Just de-restrict the AR15. That's all I ask.

Ditto...... I would donate my yearly RRSP contribution to the CPC if they did that!

I would be estatic with no barrel length restrictions, but any hunting AR I would own would have at least a 20" barrel.

Heck DPMS is is makeing them in 338 Fed now...... No one can tell me that isn't a hunting round! I also hear that someone is making uppers for 270 & 300 WSM. Now that would be pretty awsome as a hunting/bush gun..... 3000 fps 150gr .308 out of an AR!

It's absolutly amazing to me that the most accurate (semi) and the popular firearm in North America is a 'range only' fun gun here in Canada.....

My $.02

Just let us shoot them (restricted or not) anywhere you can discharge any other firearm, by getting rid of the whole stupid ATT and provincial CFO system. Huge cost savings there!!

AR's will never in my opinion (sadly) not be restricted, but they could be enabled for hunting and quarry use, without drawing too much heat from the anti's to make it politically undoable....maybe. My two cents.

LOL if you think the Antis have slowed down then you're not paying attention. Their influence on the RCMP is still significant. Although on the surface things seem settled behind the scenes there is still some very questionable stuff going on maybe more so then in the past. Getting rid of the LGR is a huge step in the right direction but the real stumbling block is the rest of the legislation needs to be addressed and my feeling is it will take significantly more effort then has been invested to get to where we would like to be this fall.

Get rid of the restricted status and allow CCW and I'd say we're on the right track.

They have not gone anywhere. The CBC has been extra anti lately. The Current doubly so. The show yesterday was entirely about how quickly we should all work now to dissarm Libya. Now that they don't need all those guns around. A lot of talk about getting them registered too. (hey it worked here.)

I'm willing to bet the first guy that steps forward and requests the UN to help him establish order and remove the firearms from the people; will be the next tyrant propped up by these asshats and their sick social experiments.

If you want to raise your blood pressure; here's a link.

My kids picked up a few new words while driving with me listening to this.

Their owners, those who pay them to do their deed, are most likely re-thinking where to put the money in for best outcome. Politicians and law enforcement are most likely being approached at this time as propaganda didn't work too well.
Even Wendy isn't gonna open her mouth for free.

Unrestrict AR's, unprohibit FN's and AK's and variants, allow normal capacity magazines. Basically return to 1980 firearms laws.

Svd

hands down and SVD everytime for me.. drives me crazy we can have a medved or an SVT40 but slap a nice stock on that same reciever make up and a top cover and apparently it becomes an AK to somone in a cubicle "sucking farts" at the bureau of your not alowd.

Simply put, there should be no restrictions on the kind of firearms that can be possessed by properly background checked / licenced / trained individuals, up to and including automatic weapons, CCW... Whatever.

People who don't break the law deserve whatever they want to spend their money on.

Criminals deserve to have their rights taken away, permanently.

THEN we'd see some crime control...

I wish my uncle could shoot his HK-91. I think all the guns on the prohib list should be made legal, the fact that they're banned makes no sense.

I know my Dad would be happy if he could own an FN, I don't think he's fired one since 1991ish, before we finally got rid of the last of our C1A1's. He tells me that he "misses the heavy bastard."

If the FN were legal, I'm sure there would be a few in our house right now.... Ah well, we can dream, can't we?

Non-Restricted AR-15's would be glorious too, until that happens (if it happens) my Classic Green fills the void well. I'm sure we could all type up huge essays about what we'd firearms laws we'd like to see in this country, and they'd all be pretty similar.
