Is it possible to load 410 on a single stage press?

there used to be a company that made dies to load .410 and passably other gauges on a standard reloading press I think they were called WTS sadly they don't make them anymore. I just picked up another mec at a gun show for $60 going to buy a .410 conversion kit for it
 
Before I bought my 410 mec I made up a set to load.
depriming I used a punch and a block with a hole the head fit into and a small hole that the primers fell into.
Repriming I pushed a primer in and a dowel into the case and tapped it in. Case head was supported on a piece of hardwood.
loaded everything in and pushed the crimp into a point. I made up another block that the case fit into. Longer than your case. She’ll was standing in block. I inserted the dowel and push the crimp closed. Crude but it worked.

if you added a crimp starter for a mec it would do wonders kinda like the old lee loaders after plastic hulls became the norm they added crimp starters

I don't know if those crimp plastic I was looking at them and tried to find the ch4d website to see if there was any info but couldn't find it.

just looked at buffalo arms and their for brass hulls and don't even crimp those

Since reloading shot shells is not overly economically feasible these days used Mec 600 jrs. are not hard to find fairly cheap. Epps always has several laying around for example. Why not just pick up a used Mec 600 and a set of dies and be done with it, it would save you a lot of BS and last you a life time. There is a fella who just posted a powder question in this reloading forum who just acquired a whole reloading set up he has no use for, he just maybe able to help you out.
 
Should be able to size it with 44 mag die wit the guts taken out. And something like a 308 die may start your crimp then finish with 44 seat die but you may need to make a new seat plug to get it to work. I've mixed die set to do things like this lots.
 
MEC 410 press is arguably the one most in demand second hand, either it or 28 gauge.
They are not usually quite the giveaway that a 12 gauge MEC 600 is.
