Your stock is not from a 1200TX. I did not realize it was set up for single shot. Stock is from a M84 which uses the square receiver and is a solid bottom receiver. You've done the right thing in hogging out the existing bedding as the receiver was not properly bedded in the first place. Check and make sure the bolt functions as you are putting a lot of pressure on the 98 action (not stiff) when you force over the barrel. Might look good however may not shoot worth a dam. Have you thought about getting the right stock and bottom metal. I know that's easier said than done. Good Job.
 
After replacing the old dry butt pad, a few coats of My special mix with BLO...

DONE.
