Is it possible to thread a standard 870 barrel to accept chokes? I made an impulse buy, 870 express, followed by a 12.5 mag fed grizzly, both don't use chokes, however I'd like to get them threaded so i can use chokes. Is it possible to do, or so I need to buy new barrels?

Should be OK to do. You need to find a gunsmith that can confirm, though.

Yep......I have had Casey at TacOrd do a few barrels for me. Great to deal with, and fast turn around.

I am pretty sure that Gobles will send it out to someone else! You might also want to try Ontario Gun Services, they are new owners, and they may be able to do it.

My 870 is an express and I had the barrel threaded. It now sports a choke.

Maybe I'll sell the grizzly, I only bought it to build a drum magazine for it, but I'm way too busy.
