Is it possible for a rifle to hate light bullets? ;)

I don't understand how it's possible but I can't make light bullets (150-155gr) group, no matter how hard I try.
With 168gr I'm shooting sub MOA for sure (Match ammo and reloads) but with 150 and 155 gr I'm around 2-3 MOA. I tried the whole powder range from mini to max, switched from Sierra Palma to Hornady to Privi with no luck,
So I'm back to 168 and will give the 175 gr a try, but I can't understand why no light bullet for this rifle.

Rifle is a 700PSS, brass is LC, Varget powder, OAL 2.8.

Any idea?

yes it is possible, with out looking up the specs on your gun i dont know what the rate of twist is off hand.. but if you spin a bullet TOO fast the mineute inconsistanceys in the ballance of the bullet will start to show threw and it will spin itself off its rotational axis, sort of like the oposite of spinning a bullet to slow..

im assuming your loading for .308.. so i sort of find it strange that u cant get a 150-55 to work..

Sorry about that, looks like I forget some info:

So yes .308, the twist should be good for 150 gr (11.5 twist I think).
As for the OAL I usually start playing with it after I find a load.

I had big hopes for the 155 Palma : the only bullet long enough so I could play with the OAL but I tried from mini to 47C by .1 increments, more than 200 testings rounds with no luck

Anyway I sold my last 700 bullets in 155 so I'm done with it, but it does make much sense too me. I'd like to understand why.
