I agree w/ unibomber and sparrow (to a degree). As a max, maybe a 'top in class', but shooting the stages with mixed firearms is great. It gives a perspective to those who may only shoot one type, and was certainly an eye opener for those of us with other pieces- Kiwimatt is a great example- love that stripper clip routine!
It's a shame Xwestie didn't make it- I was looking forward to seeing him shoot the match- that was some great 'bolt work' in the practice on Saturday (after he overcame the mag problem...)!
Taking the 'divide into classes' to the extreme- do you then subdivide into those w/ optics, and those shooting irons? In one case last weekend, the 10 round mag was certainly no advantage, w/o the optics.... It would take away from the experience, IMNSHO.
Keep them mixed, and maybe do a 'top in class'.
