Is it too hot to hunt?

Shot my moose yesterday in 15 degree heat and saw lots of other deer and moose and elk. So No it's not too hot. Makes caring for the meat a bit more worrisome though.

I find the deer aren't moving around too much, but they are there somewhere...and an unsuccessful hunt is still better than not hunting at all!;)

Nope, not at all....killed these two last week in +15 degree temperatures. Animals are still out there, you just need to find them!

it was 17 decress celcuis today and we got one 4 point buck today. Deer werent moving very much ( didnt hear much shooting today) and it rained pretty good so I decided to head home for some lunch, about 300 yards from my stand on the road I had to lay on the brakes hard to let a monster 10 point cross infront of me, I do a 180 and header back to my stand to hopefully catch him before he makes it through, I just crested the hill putting slugs in my shotgun when I seen him make his way into the pine bush about 100 yards past my stand, that made me pretty angry. I'm sitting all day for the rest of the week, they are moving at all times of the day. Warm weather may slow it down, but it doesnt stop it completely. Bucks still got does on their mind.

I'm away from home at school but when i've been home I haven't seen too much movement on the 100 acres i've been on. Usually I can go for a walk and kick out a few deer as my area is packed with them but this year may be harder than last year. Our season opened today I'm hoping that we get some nastier weather at some point in the next week

 I don't know if its the weather or what but I havent seen a fooking thing this week. It doesnt look like the rut is on yet cause I havent even seen a scrape. This is the strangest deer hunt I have ever seen.......

Not if you get the carcass into a cool place quick enough. Some of our Sounthern counsins have been deer hunting since mid August.

I actually bought an old fridge the other day just for this crazy weather now that its on us.

Another issue...Im sweating to death in my hunting clothes!! :runaway: I have a pretty insulated camo coverall that I wear over trackpants and a tshirt right up till the end of deer season. Went out the other day on a hunt and nearly passed out
