Is it vain?

It's definitely a great tool for learning. There are also smart phone apps out there that can indicate the shot time after processing the video. That can help a lot when reviewing the stage and see where you can improve to reduce the time.

O found that it doesn't work well when youbahve active stages nearby. It's very difficult to pick out your shots vs ambient noises/shots.

Number one reason I run a replay XD bullet cam on my ear pro is to promote my club and the sport. I have a lot of coworkers and friends that ask what a match is all about and I show them the vids. They always respond with: “Wow! That looks like so much fun.” It is. You need to come try it. Also, I have people that couldn’t make it to the match and are always curious how the stages were set up. It’s exciting to see the stage designs. Especially now Medicine Hat is a part of 3 Gun Nation, several of our members are traveling to the US to shoot Regionals and Nationals and bringing back amazing stage design ideas. Lastly, I do like to review and see my mistakes to try to improve.

Another reason I’ve found a GoPro helpful is diagnosing firearm malfunctions. I’ve weeded out problem mags(as long as their numbered) in both pistol and rifle during 3gun matches, mind you it’s after the fact. During a match you have tunnel vision and often don’t realize what actually happened during a malfunction because your so focused on getting through the stage. You can replay that back in slow motion if you want, to see the exact issue.

LMAO, solid burn! But what’s worse is that I was whooping peeps with a keltec, when they were shooting ARs...I recently picked up a Troy Defense, looking forward to getting it out and active.

A poor shooter is a poor shooter regardless of equipment..

I run a GoPro and have someone film me with my phone at all of my matches and then upload it to YouTube. Not only does it help you get better it helps get new people out if they can see what exactly it is that you’re doing rather than just trying to explain it to them, and also gives others ideas for stage design.
