If you are really cheap and pick up brass, buy used gear, cast your own bullets from range scrap or free wheel weights it can be extremely cheap to shoot. I was shooting .38special for less than the price of .22 a few years ago. It all depends what you want to do and how creative you are at finding things. Buying bullets and brass seems to be a big killer these days with some new cases costing more than loaded rounds! I don't understand that part...
