Is it worth picking up my brass?

i stopped saving 9mm, i have a lot of it but i found buying the umc packs is cheaper than reloading it.
ill be saving me 40sw brass and probably will reload that.

i tried to sell some .223 brass on the ee and some 9mm but the shipping on it makes it not worth the hassle. local ill sell otherwise i wont.

I think I will take up reloading simply because it sounds like something I would like to learn.

BTW best price I can find on factory .40 is $35.00 for 100 rds. So 18$ for 100 reloaded is pretty good.

Anyone have some good beginner guides to reloading? Or suggestions on affordable kits?

All shot shells can be reloaded. However you're not going to see any savings unless you are loading anything but 12ga., slugs, or have a desire to use some fancy custom load.
 
Pick up and keep all the brass you can get, I have a Lee loading machine, a turret press and I load from 22 hornet to 9.3x57 and just about all the pistol calbres from 32 auto to 455 Webley. Most people on here will sneer at the Lee products but I have used them for 30 years and they are good enough for me.
A gunshop owner tried to sell me a pair of Dillons at $950.00 each, one in 38 Special and another in 45 ACP. Time I do have so I'll stick to my Lee Turret Press.
With what's going on in the US it might happen that loaded pistol ammo and components might be nearly imposssible to get
What ever you do stock up on primers, that's best advice hear it!
