Is it worth to buy Yugoslav M98 Mauser???

Captured or not they are the same I think?

The Yugoslavian M24s, M24/47s, and M48s are based off a intermediate action instead of the standard long action. The Yugoslavian captured K98ks, Vz 24s and M98s are long actions (can't remember the exact designation all of them were given in Yugoslavian service, I know the VZ 24s were called M24/52s after being reworked).

I was thinking about one of these @ TradeEx but they all seem to be in poor condition, dark bore, cracked stocks, etc. $495 seems like strong money for these... Maybe they should drop the price.

Probably the nicest ones already sold and the lot is picked over...

I bought one, and it was decent, fairly nice even, but it wasn't matching and it had a stamped floor plate and mag follower. Sold it for a fair price, so someone else could have a good shooter.

Bought this one, its all matching, all milled and a really good shooter too. Not as tight groups as with my K31, but damn it hits hard. 8" 1/2" thick AR500 plate on foot long chains will flip fully upright and hang in the air for a second. so much win :D And this is only with 44grns of 4064.

Where did you get the second one?

The Yugo refurbed German K98k's are usually marked Preduzece 44 on the side rail from what I've seen.

i got one of the tradeex ones, its very nice bore is like new and wood is very nice but it had a mismatch bolt .stil hade some german waffamts and 43 code on the receiver but that was a while ago .The selection dose not seem to be to good now,but usually the ones listed as having very good bore are worth buying as they would likely have a new barrel and are good shooters SKU m98-94
