Canada Ammo was looking into bring this Israeli Tavor into Canada in a civvy version.....so where are they  ? I just bought an SL8-5 from Wolverine about 3 weeks ago and it's for sale as soon as I can lay my hands on one of these in NR form.

Ever since I saw one I had to have one. I never thought there was a chance that we could ACTUALLY get one. Now I just have to wait.....

I believe the importer's waiting to hear from the "first horseman of the zombocalypse" (RCMP Technical Examiner).

I just heard from IWI last week. The arrival of the samples is imminent. They just got approval from the IMOD for the sale. This what was taking the time. When you are waiting for something as a customer it seem like a long time, but there is a lot of work involved. Barrel length is 475mm, price is $2999.00

Are the samples going to be for sale? How long will it be before we can get out grubby hands on one of our own? Lastly, you take rifles on trade? :ar15:

HAH! 5mm of extra non-restricted! Ain't that a kick in the pants for the Liberals! :D

The version coming to Canada, is it the military version of Tavor? Or is it that civilian version we often see on the internet, with changed handguard and smaller triggerguard?

I'll buy one only if it comes in 7.62x39 M-43 round. Only kidding.;) And yes a lot of rifles are priced at $3,000. Do you think there is price fixing going on? Seems to be little competition.

It is based on the cost from IWI. We aren't making that much, frankly. We will try to get the guns with a rail rather than a sight, but IWI seems dead set against selling it that way. They are priced right in the market for modern rifles of this type.

the rail idea is awesome, they must have one designed for either sniper use or some other optical device.

Can you check if they can make a semi-auto negev?

One thing at a time, but I will ask. The may just do it.
