So I finally got around to buying a Type 97 (standard upper), and the proprietary rail in the carry handle seems to have a slight cant/curve to it. Anybody else notice this, and if so, did it affect you slapping rails and optics on?
Is my Type 97 rail normal?

Mine had that, but I bought the FTU and problem solved lol! But as to your question it will be very noticable once you put a rail on.
