Similar to other comments posted, a hunting partner had a Savage package with the vortex scope. Could get it sighted in, bullets all over, no groups. When I looked at it, scope rings were loose on both the base and ring screws. I took the scope off, tightened (and blue loct tite) the base mount screws, and remounted the scope and torqued the screws, it became a tack driver. Why a company would not quality check these before they go out the door floors me (I have also seen crosshairs canted ~ 20 - 25 degrees).
