Hey all,

Well, I'm down in Florida right now. Been here for about two months, still can't find any powders to reload 38/357 with. Heck, even went to a gun show this passed weekend, wasn't a jar of nothing in sight. So if a guy can't even find powder down deep in the US, does that mean pistol reloading is done for for us guys up north? I mean, I'm sure you guys who stocked up are set for awhile. But guys like me who happened to dip they're toe into reloading and made an investment, kinda find it frustrating.

For the record........Lee hand press, lucked out with some lb of tight group which I'm half way through, loading both 38 special and 357 mag for my Marlin 1894 CB 24".

Thanks.

Ti

I haven't been able to load pistol for a year and don't forsee any loading for another year. Never again. As soon as it trickles back I am stocking up on a minimum of 32 pounds with 4 kegs of my favourite stuff

Take up bullseye shooting. Fire one shot in the space of time most take to do 2 mag dumps. Never worry about ammo again ;)

I still have about 3 lb of Bullseye on hand. Some 700x, 800x, Red-Dot, 5 lb each of H-110 & WW296 in the cabinet as well.
I'm only loading for .357 mag & .44 mag, so I should be able to hold out for a while.

Powder seems to be trickling in, got four pounds of tite group at my LGS couple days ago....he had a good selection of rifle aswell.

Powder is coming into the country, you just have to check stores, websites and the EE daily and jump on it when it's in stock. Just in the last month I've been able to get 12lbs of Titegroup, 4lbs of Blue Dot, 8lbs of Varget, 8lbs of Longshot and 5 lbs of H335 and 8lbs of H110.

I should also add I've never paid more than $32/lb for any type of powder.

And yes I realize I'm a hoarder.

I see powder all over the place just don't expect to buy ever thing in one place. One muse be resourceful and call and drive around

trickling in for me too...although it is more expensive..i didn't reload for 8 months b4 i could start loading again. thank god i got my hands on some varget and hp38. im good for a bit now

Pretty much the way I've been doing it since I first started handloading. Not too often I don't snag a bit of powder, primers or bullets when I happen to pop into a gunstore no matter where that may be.I've been through a couple of component dry spells over the years and I don't want to get caught short again, just need to use some common sense. It does help to be in an area of Ontario where there are several places to buy from as well.If you are in the back and beyond things can be a lot more of a problem.

I see Steel sitting on the table at local gun shows. No idea what sort of cut it is (don't want any "dot" type flake powder) or of any pistol data so I've left it alone.
