Is sks in the party of 1500?

Ive heard the ranch rifle is on the list, because of what happened in the past or revenge.
Is the sks on that list?

Sadly, they are not stupid.
They talked about to give 1000$ per gun so, they made the banned list in consequence.
There are not a lot of gun on their list that worth less than 1000$...
And they know that only a bunch of us will take the $ and majority will keep it.
Imagine, they even banned 60-81-120 mm mortar , boys .55 , ptrs/ptrd... is there ammo for it on market lol ?!?
Government will have a ban at very low cost...and they knew it.
Why to pay 1000$ for a sks...
It will be on the next list ...and they will adjust price for...

A true SKS does not fall under the category of the prohibition. The government wanted to target those firearms that are modern, and have the capability of holding a quickly reloadable large capacity magazine. The SKS has an internal box magazine with the capability of holding only 5 rounds in Canada. There are far more firearms that are closer to the list than the SKS.

Gents; as much as we all love the SKS, it's simply not a modern-design assault rifle, it's a military surplus carbine with a fixed box magazine. Compared to an AR or other modern-design assault rifles, it is unwieldy, heavy and cumbersome. The ban of 1500 targeted the low hanging fruit.
