Is something wrong with Robinson Arms XCR rifles?

I have seen over 10 XCR rifles for sale from various CGN members in first 4 pages in EE section for sale alone! Why are so many people selling these bad boys? When they came out everyone wanted one, now everyone wants to get rid of one?

Tons of 858s, too.

It goes in cycles. Sometimes it's AR's, sometimes M14's. Guys buy stuff and move it when they don't want/need/like it.

I've got about 500 rounds through my 7.62x39 XCR now. It's been reliable, it uses 10 round pistol mags, and I'm able to bang the 10" gong at 300m regularly with surplus ammo. I don't see selling it in my future.

I'd say it's because the demand for all the guns people thought would be reclassified has exploded due to them not being reclassified and the registry is gone. Many folks probably waited for the registry to die to put theirs up for sale.

Well, if you look at the commodity prices you'll notice the trend. When the price for oil goes up to a certain amount, gasoline prices rise, and second hand XCR sales also go up. The natural conclusion is the petroleum based products start to cost too much. The XCR has a high petroleum content that needs to be frequently replenished. You know this product as:

LOCTITE

It's enough to fill up at the pump for your car, never mind for your rifle too. :p

I apologize, I couldn't resist. Also no it never gets old. It's all in the presentation. :stirthepot2:

I recently bought a new XCR-L from Wolverine and i absolutely love it. No complaints here. I have only taken it out once so far. I shot 500 rounds of AE .223. I had two stoppages within the first 100 rounds breaking it in, and its been good to go since. Its sooo much fun to shoot.

Have put about about 10k rounds through my 5.56 rifle in all kinds of weather (+110 - -30), and all kinds of dirt, mud, snow. No complaints. Who ever says you need locktite to keep these guns together is retarded.

I wish the company had a different owner though.

I'm one of the people with an XCR up for sale. I absolutely love my XCR, but I really wanted to try something new. It doesn't sell (which it won't), I just go back to loving it.

One thing I can say, is that the conversion kits are WAY overpriced. Actually, the rifles are way overpriced, but to put 700+ into a conversion is absurd. I'd love to get a 223 conversion for my XCR, but I'd rather have another nice rifle at that price.

Two complaints with my XCR:
- Front heavy
- Limitations of the 7.62x39 round

I opted out of buying one when the owner of the company threatened anyone who complained about problems with their rifle.

Not a stance that inspires confidence.

X2.
I've put 3000 rounds out of mine and never needed to tighten anything. Never needed locktite.

How so?

While i was pissed at having problems with my rifle i never had any threats from Alex Robinson, i was rude and called his rifle crap but he still helped me out and i am hoping it all gets resolved.

You don't have to be retarded to want the fasteners on your rifle to stay tight.

My stock started wiggling at the range today. It was the one fastener I missed Loc-titing when I went over my rifle after receiving it.

It's all a hoax. I have been trying to make deals on three different units (.223) since Friday. Slow/no replies to messages, emails, etc. I would order a new one if SFRC had any in stock.

I see Wolverine has them instock in green, tan and grrrrr tigerstripe.

Yeah. Got one.

Seller will verify my PAL tomorrow and get it in the mail.

Hopefully RA will come out with a working .300 blackout kit at some point in the future.

Nice to hear all the positive things some of you said here, especially since I am in the market for an xcr, the only thing thats kinda scaring me is the locktite jokes and things getting loose. A gun that costs well over $2000 shouldnt need locktite imo.

It's not a big deal. Go through the fasteners and you won't have any issues.

I think it's a great rifle, you just have to realize it's not a ready-for-military-service rifle. It requires more preventative maintenance than an AR or a VZ. Think of it as a sporting rifle, rather than a fighting rifle.
