Is Strelok app any good?

Not sure if I'm just an idiot but the numbers I get out of this app and what my rifle actually shoots are very different. I'm shooting 130gr AB at 3259fps and the app says -2.28 at 200 and -8.98 at 300. What I actually got was -6" at 200 and -13" at 300.

Seems like a huge difference at short ranges to me! Anyone one else have any luck with it?
 
Ive had very good results with it out to 600 yards with my .223. First round hits at 500 with a good crosswind.

You sure your Zero and ballistic info is correct? That's awfully far out...
 
Something is very wrong. -6 at 200 and -13 at 300 are 308 Winchester numbers, not 130 AB @ 3200 FPS numbers

You're right, I punched my numbers into Hornady's calculator and got the same as Strelok.

Now I'm confused! I know the distances are correct, I know the velocities are good so what the hell!
 
How did you set up your scope height over the bore measurement? What I did with mine was take my known come ups out to 600 and tweak the height over bore until it all lined up with what I knew it should.
 
What rgv said above a 130 gr bullet at that speed dropping 6" at 200 is not right. The only 130gr I shoot is doing just under 3000 and drop at 200 is between 1.5 and 2" and it is an AB

What sort of chronograph are you using?
 
Did you put in the ballistic coefficients of the projectiles you’re using?

Did you adjust the scope settings in the app? Namely the zero distance and the height over bore?

Ok, so you are shooting a 270 WSM I'm guessing?

130 grain accubond, scoped rifle, 3250 fps measured, zeroed at 100 yards and on same day, drop at 200 is 6 inches and drop at 300 is 13 inches?

How many rounds at each distance and what did groups look like at 100, 200, 300?

I only had 20rds with that load for that day. Did 3 groups, one 5rd group at 100, one 3rd group at 200 and same at 300. Groups were mediocre at 200 and 300, 3" at 200 and 3" at 300. At 100 all were touching.
 
With the paid version you can adjust velocity or bc to match actual drop at known distance. As stated it seems your actual drop is quite a bit more than it should be....perhaps charge weights need to be confirmed.... cheap crony's set up even just a bit off level can give +-2-300fps differences since it's measured based on spacing between the two sensors. Double check your charge weight/ scale to confirm your not under charge weight. IME strelok is a great app that once all imput data is good has worked for first shot hits way out there for me from many rifles from 22LR to 300 wm and everything in between
 
I've had to adjust scope height as well as BC 8n strelok but only with my 6.5. My other rifles have been bang on out to 700 meters.
