Is the .300 win mag brass to .375 Ruger conversion safe?

I've been debating adding a new to me medium bore and with all the options being offered in .375 Ruger its very tempting. One stumbling block on my decision is availability of brass. If the forming of brass from traditional belted magnum brass is a safe option it would make it more appealing.

Apparently others have done it with good results.
I haven't tried it simply because I've managed to find lots of 375 Ruger brass.
Maybe I will try just for satisfying curiosity as I have a bunch of 300 Win. mag. brass and no 300 Win. rifle..

Why not just get a 300 win mag?
Or, if you want to us the brass in a custom chambering, use in a 358/300 chambering. Similar to the 358 Norma Mag!

Yes, it is absolutely safe, I have fired well over 100 rounds now and if you look back you can see the write up I did when I initially did this (with my son's rifle, I'm not totally stupid). I sectioned cases after 7 firings of full bore loads and showed no ill effects, and no fracture indications at the belt/body junction, which was my only real concern. We fired loads that night using W-W 300 WM brass that his Horn brass absolutely would not take, it went exceptionally well and I highly recommend this process to get quality brass for your 375 Ruger.

I must have skipped that post when I browsed through your thread. I was also concerned about the brass/belt juncture becoming a weak spot and causing case failures. Thanks for laying these doubts aside, it adds to my options for a medium bore.
