Is the 5" S&W 460V available in Canada?

According to you, guys, can technically a .455 webley ammo be shot safely too? If so, it would be a 5 in 1!!!
And I would be in the market for one probably... ;)

And with home-made moon clips, .45acp would be on the way?
The rim diameter of the Webley ammo might be too big for the recess (.535 vs .520) and the moon clipped 45ACP would probably protrude too far to close the cylinder. :(

(E)

When my 460V arrives, I can try if factory 455 will fit or not. I'm doubtful though. As it is, it shoots at least 4 ammo variants:

-45 Schofield
-45 Colt
-454 Casul
-460 S&W Magnum

It will also shoot into space.....

Sorry, been awhile since I've seen that reference on CGN!

I have shot this with 240 grain 460 and 300 grain 454 casull. The 460 was nice, the 454 was punishing. Would not trade, sell or give away. I have the 460v, absolutely love it! Expensive to feed, but so worth it.

460 ammo comes in A LOT of variants. The basic Winchester Super-X load is milder than 454 Casul, but the CorBon loads in 460 are barn burners that make 454 Casul feel like 22 Magnum.

Ok...I'm off to the indoor range to shoot my 460v for the first time this am!
I've got a pair of foam ear plugs in addition to my muffs, some 454 Casull and Hornady 460mags. Also bringing my 4.2" Redhawk 44mag. Its going to get loud....The other members are going to hate me:)

I just got back from the range. All I can say is this 460v is awesome! The recoil with Hornady 200gr 460mags was very manageable. I shot it right after half a box of 44mag thru my 4.2" Redhawk.
The felt recoil on the Redhawk was more intense due to the exposed frame that makes contact with the palm. The grip of the 460v absorbs the recoil very comfortably. The 454 Casull felt tame.
The BOOM of the 460v is truely amazing. My range has a window behind the shooters (10bays). When I turned around to grab another paper target I felt like a fish in a fishbowel. There was a crowd of new shooters just staring and some were shaking their heads with an ear to ear grin.
I'm glad I put in a pair of foam plugs under my muffs:)

My range allows any HG caliber...as long as it isn't steel core. IIRC

Wanstalls has a 460V with 5 inch barrel for sale. I saw one on the EE also, but for 200 bux more then the new one Wanstalls is selling.

lol no kidding, used 460v for 200 more, pretty insane.

found one on EE though for a reasonable price. i'm a happy guy. found some speed loaders online, very cool. now just need a custom shoulder holster.

I have one. Got my 460 from Roger @ Shooter's Choice in ALBERTA not the Ont store (they are not connected btw). Roger is an awesome guy to deal with; very professional and easy to talk to. Matter of fact the service has had me go back to him for two more significant purchases since my .460.

As of today they are showing as "In Stock" and before you say he's overpriced... website pricing has taxes added in!

Long barrel revolvers remind me of circus clowns shooting and a flag that drops from the barrel....."BANG!"

I really do not like 8 3/8" barrels on wheel guns. Strangely enough because the x-frame is so large is does not look freakishly out of proportion like on other frame sizes. That being said my 460 is the 5" and looks cool as ##### lol!

my dad picked up a 460V from Roger at Shooters Choice last year.
i was so excited to try it out, we shot my GP100 before it, then moved into the 460.
did the colts, pretty much the same as the 357.
the casul had some pepper on them.
but the 460 mag...... Oh...... My....... God Becky!
i hit that trigger once and i had a concussion!
seriously, i had a instant headache!
after the 3rd shot i had to put the gun down!

even standing behind him at the ourdoor range i could feel the force wave from the shot hitting you was insane!

i remember my dad saying that its too bad you couldnt mount a light on it.... i asked why you would need a light..... if you fired that at night the first round would light up the entire area, its infact a self lighting gun!

BOOM.... "oh there you are!"

anyways, this was day 1 with the 460 at the range.
he loves it like a kid on christmas.
im sure ill come to love by the time i inherit it, hehe
