Is the Astra STG-4 carbine available in CA?

Is the Astra STG-4 carbine available in Canada? I noticed that the company imports some things here but not sure what. Also if it is whats all the restrictions on it? I know capacity has to be 5 but can it have a threaded barrel or a collapsible stock?

As restriction goes it is classified as AR, so nothing else will change it's classification except if you found a way to go FA.

Canada Ammo and Frontier both have it listed on their website.

More due to the fact that it is "non-sporting". It could be imported witha thumbhole stock and modded 10rd mag well. no bayo lug, etc.

I've been thinking about that and I know the factory won't do it would it be possible to have a gunsmith do the changes? Also could I import the parts that aren't used(stock, barrel, mag, etc) at a later date legally?

Yes, but it is only affective on a commercial basis. various US importers use this method to import otherwise banned guns.
