I can see trying to build a clone as a collection thing or out of nostalgia for sure. I'd go with a different take on the AR for a high performance shooting gun though, but I am sure you know this anyways. Good luck with your project!

Many people have ordered stuff for their sks from sksman.com and after some digging over there they seem to have old style M4 stocks in OD green. have a look. Maybe he can ship that up here as well.
