Is the Caldwell XLA Bipod as good as a Harris?

I am the OP.

All the more reason you ought to know what question was the subject of this thread.:) If you wish to find out about what bipods are even better than Harris (or Caldwell) that's great.

Is the subject, whatever you choose, just a general query or did you have a particular rifle in mind for a bipod?

The OP was for people to watch if they were interested in these bipods and the comparison.

Id get the magpul over those 2.

I have 2 Harris S-BRM with POd Locs on my rimfires ATM and hate them. The stupid springs are ridiculous and they look horrible to boot. A couple years back we didnt have a good 100ish options, and buying 1 Atlas we enough for me...lol..

One thing I know about magpul is to wait until they have the Gen2's ;) So ill keep rocking my harris for now before I upgrade them.

What if the Harris doesn't make you happy but the Atlas does?

In that case you've answered your own question: get the Atlas . In any case, the thread is about the Caldwell and the Harris.

We are not allowed to discuss alternatives?

You are, of course, free to discuss all alternatives. I was simply pointing out that the OP was interested in comparing the Caldwell and Harris bipods.

As kamlooky observes, perhaps one could consider a whole range of bipods for use with a rimfire, including those often used by F Class shooters.

It's nice to see a consistent position maintained.
