Hi Guys

For those of you that own or have used the Elcan Specter DR, is it all you hoped it would be? Does it hold zero, and do the mounts hold up? I have read some past posts that were not all that favorable. Have things improved?

I am thinking of one of these for my new Swiss Arms Classic Green rifle, but at $1800.00 I don't want any surprises.

My other thought for a scope is Leupold's Mark 4 1.5-5X20 MR/T M2 scope on a Larue mount.

Opinions?

Thanks

Hi.-

I have this unit for some years now, and, I think it's the best.

You can't find a better unit to fix on a "Classic Green Swiss Rifle".

Buy it, and, have Fuuuuunnnnnnnn :D

SOCOM trialled them and then bought 15000 of them for SOPMOD 2. They'll hold zero. ;)

My 5c. I really like the reticle. I like the lever. I always love looking through Elcan glass. Excellent wide field of view, they say the largest FOV available. I generally don't like looking through smaller FOV magnified scopes, but until I own a SpecterDR, I'll have to.

Bonus', it's Made In Canada and distributed by a company that actively supports Canadian shooters. If any scope I owned broke, I'd want it to be an Elcan, cause it CAN and WILL get fixed, not a slag on the other choice, but Armament Technologies is Canadian and accessible.

We're putting them on all our demo guns.
