Is the mp5 design prohibited?

Is there a way we can get a restricted (or NR) mp5 design firearm?

I love that design. Just wondering.

All the nice HK's are prohibited by name.
Heckler&Koch G3, G3A3, G3A3ZF, G3A4, G3SG/1, G11, HK33, 33A2, 33A3, 33KA1, HK91, 91A2, 91A3, 93, 93A2, 93A3, 94, 94A2, 94A3 and PSG-1 rifles, as well as: MP5, MP5A2, MP5A3, MP5K, MP5SD, MP5SD1, MP5SD2, MP5SD3 submachine guns

Hell they even classified the GSG .22 lr version as a variant, so basically anything that even looks like an MP-5 is going to be ruled prohib, just like the AK's.

Quite dumb.... why not make them restricted semi autos at least so we can have them in a collection and use at the range....

Let it go, getting a logical answer out of the government, especially a liberal is like........ well there is nothing like it cause it has never happened. Until we take this "FREE" country back from these pigs we'll never have logical explanations for anything that goes on here.

OP, you could always get a FAMAE SAF.

Yes, restricted due to barrel length. Tactical Imports is bringing in new ones for around $2000 for the base model and Mini SAF (and $2200 for the SAF-200), and the shipment is due this summer.

If you don't want to wait, there are a few from the original Wolverine Supplies shipment a few years back still floating around, though prices may be a little higher at the moment.
