I need a holster for my G17 and I really love the look of the 6070. I have never used or actually seen one in person. What are your opinions on the holster??

It looks very nice, (and that's enough reason to get it) but the question to ask is do you really need a Level 3 holster?

What purpose are you buying a holster for?
L3 is a slower draw and designed to retain a gun when open carried and someone's grabbing at it. It's a little overkill for the average sport shooter...

Bladetech DOH could be a better choice. The Safarliand appears to be a level 2 or 3, and is a duty type holster.
Some may use the same type of holster they have for work. For range time, I would use a Bladetech as it is secure yet quick.

The Raptor is an excellent holster for security and police since it locks the gun in as soon as it is reholstered and it is very quick to draw from for security and police purposes.

I wouldn't get one if I was intending to plink, shoot competitively etc. I'd look at the Bladetech for that or something similar.

Why not look at what you want to do and get a holster that reflects that (plinking, IDPA, IPSC!)>

I just bought a used Raptor for a fairly good deal. I am looking for a setup similar to the local police here. They use the raptor holsters and I will often be shooting with the guys and girls from the local police. I will pick up a bladetech for everyday range use and probably some style of drop leg holster as well...I never said anything about this being my only holster :D

as other have said i dont see he point of a level 3 for sport shooter like i could not see why a police office would want a ipsc race holster

In Alberta, there is no regulation. Just no concealed carry. I use a flap so that my pistol doesn't get too wet, or covered in pine and spruce needles.
